The cathedral was closed in 1923. From 1982, the building is used for exhibitions and concerts of Russian church music. |
Buit in 1748-1769 to the design of Bartolomeo Rastrelli near the Smolny
Yard. Its interior decoration was completed by Vasily Stasov's plans in
1832-1837.
